History of Orlando
In 1840-1880 Orlando was called The Wild South for the reason that the people living there used to raise Cattle's in order to make a living. Is not till later down in the 1880's Orlando evolved into what it is now known to be.
In 1880 the Florida rail road extended its lines down to Orlando from Sanford and the rest of the nation. The rail road helped with the expanding of Orlando and it continued to grow rapidly.
By 1990, the population went well over 60,000 residents which brought them to the process of becoming a metropolitan area. And by 1998 Walt Disney announced the attendance of its 600,000,000th guest.
